Dear guests, are you looking for an apartment to relax where you can go hiking, mountainbiking or skiing directly from the house? We rent a comfortable apartment on a quiet spot in the small village Gurtis, approx. 950 meters above sea level. The apartment is on the ground floor of a family owned holiday house and has its own entrance. The hallway gives way to the newly renovated spacious kitchen cum living room with a big window and a door leading to the patio. On the other side of the living room is the sleeping room. The house is surrounded by nature and has a wonderful view over nearby vallies, such as Walgautal and Walsertal. In front of the apartment is a small garden. The sunny meadow next to the house with a fireplace can be used as well. There is also a carport. The village Gurtis is turned towards the morning sun. Looking east you have a view over the vilages in the valley and the mountains of the sorrounding valleys, Illtal, Walsertal and Klostertal. On the west and north, the village is protected from stormy winds by the mountains. Hence, Gurtis is sometimes called the balcony of Vorarlberg. The village has a grocery store, an elementary school, and public transport to the train station and nearby towns. In winter the roads are frequently cleared also at night so that they are accessible even if there is a lot of snow.
There are many possibilities to spend your leisure time in Gurtis far away from street noise and overcrowded tourist regions. It is ideal for hiking or mountain biking and offers a basin for wading in cold mountain water for cooling down and stimulating the circulation („kneippen“). Gurtis has four ski lifts and slopes for the very beginner to the sporty skier, a ski school, and a ski rental service. In sommer and in winter, the toursit office organizes bonfires, concerts, farmers’ markets, and other activities for their guests.

As we do not live in the area the shortest stay is one month or if you are looking for a shorter stay the total cost will be EUR 600. We are happy to rent the apartment long term as well – furnished or unfurnished, rental price on request.
