Enjoy passing dolphins as you collect shells while walking down 14 miles of our beautiful white sand beach or enjoy the warm Florida sun on our comfortable beach chairs. Blue skies, blue water, white sand, abundance of marine life and large white puffy clouds are yours to enjoy in water that is warm as a bath. Flocks of various varieties of birds keep you company as you watch the day come to an end with a beautiful sunset over the Gulf of Mexico.

Sand Cay Beach Resort Unit 318 is close to several of Florida's top airports. From Tampa and Tampa International Airport ----------60.9 miles - about 1 hour 23 minutes 1. Head NE on George J Bean Pkwy toward Airport Access Road (2.1 miles) 2. Take the ramp onto SR-60E (1.2 mi.) 3. Take exit onto I-275-S. You will be on this road for 34 miles. It is partially a toll road. 4. Take exit 5 for US-19S toward Bradenton / Palmetto (.7 mi) 5. Stay to right on Sunshine Skyway/US19 (traveling 2.4 mi) 6. 19 merges into U.S. 41. (do not take bus 41) Stay on US41/301. Take exit for Manatee Avenue (SR64) after crossing bridge. Right turn. 7. Bradenton Manatee Avenue thru Travel about 10 miles to the bridge to the beaches. 8. Cross drawbridge to Anna Maria Island. Turn left at stoplight by Bank of America. Travel 7 miles or so south, until you get to drawbridge. Cross to Longboat Key. 9. Travel south on Gulf of Mexico Drive about 4 miles to Casa del Mar at 4621 Gulf of Mexico Drive. (Sand Cay is Less then a mile down the road @ 4725 Gulf of Mexico) ______________________________________________________________________ From Sarasota / Bradenton Airport 13.7 miles - about 24 minutes 1. Take airport exit to University Parkway. 2. Go approximately ¼ mile to stoplight at U.S. 41-Tamiami Trail. Turn left. 3.Travel 4 miles to Gulf Stream Drive Which is a stoplight. Turn right and travel over Ringling Causeway Bridge) and continue on to St. Armands Circle. 4. Follow around and round-about take the exit on your right to Longboat Key. 5. Travel on Gulf of Mexico Drive about 6 miles north to 4621 Gulf of Mexico Drive. Arrive Casa Del Mar (Sand Cay is Less then a mile down the road @ 4725 Gulf of Mexico) From Orlando, Kissimmee 146 miles - about 2 hours 40 minutes Take I-4 west to I-75 south. Exit on Manatee Avenue. Head west through Bradenton approximately 10 miles. You will cross drawbridge to Anna Maria Island. At light, turn left onto East Bay Drive. Continue to drawbridge to Longboat Key. Casa del Mar is about 4 miles down on your right, 2 properties south of the Hilton hotel. (Sand Cay is Less then a mile down the road @ 4725 Gulf of Mexico next to the Hilton hotel)
