The Uecker Family Beach House

Thanks for looking at our beach house! This website was created to give you a detailed description of our house as well as to provide the most recent pictures available of the house, beach and neighborhood.
Our home is located in a beautiful, newer subdivision on Galveston Island's West End, called Pirate's Beach West. The homes are extremely well maintained and the neighborhood is safe and very family friendly. Many of the homes are owner occupied year-round and our neighbors are wonderful! On most days, you will see kids riding their bikes and skateboards up and down the paved streets, families headed to the beach and explorers driving around in their golf carts. When you head down to the beach, have peace of mind that vehicular traffic is prohibited-you won't have to worry about cars at all!

The house is perfectly situated, facing the ocean, only one block away and every room has a glimpse of the water! Ideal for 2 families ( in some cases, 3 small families will be comfortable here ), the floorplan is spacious enough for large gatherings but provides privacy when needed. Charmingly decorated throughout with new furnishings, the main level living room is large and comfortable with a wall of windows allowing lots of sunlight to filter in and an HD flat screen tv mounted on the wall. A sitting area provides a place to read, play games or just relax. The open kitchen is a cook's dream with plenty of granite counter space and new stainless appliances. It is equipped with dishes, flatware, spices and all the small electrics needed to prepare a gourmet meal. The dining table sits 10 persons and a big, granite island seats 4 more on barstools. Next to the kitchen, a separate laundry room contains a new washer and dryer, iron and board for your convenience. On either side of the living room is a guest bedroom. One has a queen bed, accomodating 2 persons, and the other is a " bunk room " with 2 sets of bunk beds w/ trundles, sleeping 6 persons ( usually the kiddos! ). Both of these bedrooms as well as the living room open out onto a deck that spans the entire front of the house. A full bathroom with shower/tub combo is also on this level. Upstairs, an "open" loft has a twin daybed w/trundle and a wardrobe for belongings, should you need this space for extra guests. A third guest bedroom has 2 twin beds, and a private balcony complete with adirondack chairs and a scenic view to the West. A second, full bath next to this bedroom has granite counters, marble floors and a large, glass shower. The Master bedroom has a king sized bed and ensuite bath- also boasting granite, marble and a tiled shower. The private balcony off this room is a perfect retreat to enjoy a great water view! Each bedroom ( except the master ) has a flat screen TV/DVD player. All the mattress sets are new and each bed has comfortable, designer bedding and linens. Ceiling fans are located in every room. The house has central A/C and heat with 2 new A/C units recently installed. A " Pack N Play" and child's "security bed rail" are also available for your use if needed. For those of you can't be away from your computer, the house is set up for wireless service. The outdoor shower is a great way to rinse off all the sand from the beach before you head inside ( and most of the kids like using this shower instead of the one indoors)!

After a fun filled day in the sun, relax on the balcony in a padded chaise lounge or sip a cool, umbrella drink at the patio table. You can easily keep track of the kids riding their bikes or playing in the huge, grassy yard under the balcony, while you watch the sun set and listen to the waves crash on another perfect day at the beach!

We used this beach house as one of several houses for a family reunion. It's very roomy and has a large dining/living area. It was perfect for our needs and we will definitely come back again!

Our family loves this beach house. It has a great floorplan (all bedrooms, kitchen and family room face the ocean), very clean and close to the beach...just perfect for the family. We have stayed here numerous times and it is always hard to leave.

We have stayed in this wonderful house many times. It is gorgeous! A deal for this price! Perfect for a single family or 2-3 families together. 2 minute walk down the street to the beach. Can watch the kids bike from teh 2nd story deck. PERFECT!!!
