The airport's central position on the Gulf Coast makes this a wonderful base to explore Florida and the Bahamas by small plane with countless airfields to visit, most of which will gladly provide a courtesy car for a couple of hours at no cost! The Gulf Coast has a well developed network of bike paths for cycling enthusiasts.
