Our private home on the Island of Vieques is located on a beautiful Villa Borinquen hillside. Situated in a quiet setting, there are beautiful views from the second story level deck. Sitting on the deck at night, you are embraced by the quiet night and bright stars. While looking out at the twinkling lights of Puerto Rico you become addicted to the feeling of total relaxation. It is an experience that will not be forgotten.

1 Master with king sized bed, private bathroom and TV.
2 Standard bedrooms with queen sized beds. Queen air mattress available for extra guests.
Sheets and both bath and beach towels are included.
Laundry room with washer and dryer.

Fully equipped kitchen, electric stove, microwave, toaster, blender and dishwasher.
Living room has TV with DVD player, Dish TV; board games and some puzzles also available.
Ceiling fans in living room, dining area and each of the bedrooms. Pedestal fans also included for extra comfort.

10 minute walk to a public beach.
Less than 2 miles from Isabel Segunda where there are restuarants, a bank, supermarket, bakery, pharmacy, ferry, church, and historical sites.

15-20 minute drive to the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.

Our house sits 2 stories high on a hillside in a quiet secluded setting. A left turn onto route 200 east out of Isabel Segunda just past the humane society you make a right at the water pump, then the first right (at the yellow house) and the first left next to the chain link fence, then go about 150 yards up the dirt road to our driveway entrance on the right. Our terra cotta colored house awaits you. Watch out for the horses that can be walking along the path. Our property managers Tom and Liz live next door in the yellow house for assistance and directions. We recommend renting 4 wheel drive vehicle so that you can explore the entire island.

My husband and I just spent one of our most wonderful and unforgettable vacations on Vieques Island. Andy's Casa del Caribe was a beautiful secluded retreat that provided the ultimate in comfort and relaxation. It is very open with windows and french doors all around providing lovely cross breezes. The decor is bright and colorful along with all the amenities you'll need including a washer & dryer.
Don't be discouraged by the bumpy dirt road or 30 steps to the villa entrance. The second story provides a wondrous view of the countryside, Atlantic waters & Puerto Rico. The wrap around terrace is perfect for sitting with a cocktail or enjoying a BBQ meal. You are surrounded with natural inhabitants such as horses, egrets,hummingbirds and all sizes of lizards. Property managers,Tom & Liz,reside in the adjacent villa. Andy,Tom & Liz make sure you have everything you need and advise you of the best places to eat, the best beaches, travel arrangements or anything else you may desire. A car rental is highly recommended to get to the nearby town and explore the island.The bioluminescent bay should be on everyone's bucket list. We enjoyed snorkeling and our favorite evening respite - Al's MarAzul. The islanders are extremely friendly & courteous. We found it hard to leave!

My wife and I spent a week on Vieques because we heard of the beautiful beaches that were basically deserted and the bay that glowed at night. We were thrilled!! Glad to have a four wheel drive car to get to the more remote beaches on dirt roads. After spending the day snorkeling and swimming we returned to the just completed home. Sipping drinks on the deck, using the gas grill, and watching the sun set was the perfect end to a perfect day. We ate out a few times and were impressed with the sophistication of the restaurants, especially in Esparanza. Definitely planning a return trip!

Comments:

Amazing house and views. Open floor plan with high ceilings makes it feel even bigger and it's big. Beautiful tile on veranda and in house. Sit on the veranda or zip to the beaches. Hard to leave.
