The Bed & Breakfast "by Temperi" is located in the small, ancient village of Quintodecimo, 2 km from the spa of Terme Acquasanta along the historical National Road Salaria - which links the Adriatic coast to Rome - and just 20 km from the Ascoli Piceno city. It's situated in the territory at the border between the two National Parks of Gran Sasso-Monti della Laga and Monti Sibillini, surrounded by forests of chestnut, crossed by streams at the base of the country, where the river Tronto flows through the village.
The B&B is located in the upper part of the picturesque town. It is an old stone farmhouse that after decades of neglect, has been carefully restored and renovated by combining the respect of the original typological elements (walls in stone, floors chestnut beams, etc. .) with the latest green building techniques. The house has two large bedrooms, two lounges, two bathrooms outside the rooms and a small room-studio with balcony, at the second floor. A large single living area, downstairs, composed by kitchen, dining area and living area with a massive stone fireplace and wood.
On the top floor, finally, there is a mini-apartment with separate entrance, double bedroom, bathroom and small kitchen with a large terrace overlooking the Laga mountains.
The exterior is characterized by a series of flower-filled terraces and equipped with sofas, tables, drinking fountains and barbecue allow guests to come in direct contact with the surrounding landscape.
The Bed & Breakfast is a good starting point to visit the territory at the border of three regions: we are just a few kilometers from the border with Umbria, Lazio and Abruzzo, in particular, mountain lovers here have a wide choice paths that branch off from the neighbors in the local chestnut, allowing pleasant walks and excursions, on foot or by mountain bike, to those more distant, that wind at higher elevations and that, therefore, are characterized by very different views, but equally charming. Nearby there are also scattered crags and climbing walls: many, in fact, are the beautiful disused quarries of travertine where beginners and experts can practice and compete on the steep slopes.
The nearby Acquasanta spa offers then, from May to November, the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing of the many packages offered in the hotel near the sulphurous caves, as well as the ability to simply soak in the thermal waters "free", whose properties therapeutic and aesthetic are very distant memory.
Do not miss the small historic towns scattered throughout the surrounding area: Castel di Luco, unique in its circular shape and in its architecture, the traditional Rock of Arquata del Tronto that, at the foot of the Vettore Mountain, dominates the route of the road Salaria; the most thoughtful, finally, can not fail to visit the Monastery of Valledacqua, a charming place of faith, centered in the countryside and the small Romanesque church that rises on the ruins of an ancient monastery of Farfa.
For many, finally, to the hilly and mountainous inclines prefer the smooth sandy beaches of the Adriatic seacoasts, or the charming old town of Ascoli, just take a few tens of kilometers to be in these places, but of a different kind of equal beauty.
From the point of view of food and wine, there's something for every taste: meats, sausages, mushrooms and truffles in the local boards raging inland, fish and local wines characterize the area near the coast. In any case, however, all will always be accompanied by the sympathy and generosity of the local people.
