Nestling in quiet countryside on the Pennine Way,and with easy access to the Yorkshire Dales, this traditional cosy cottage is conveniently placed alongside the Ancient Unicorn, a quiet, traditional sixteenth century coaching inn serving excellent food.

Unicorn Cottage offers well equipped and comfortable self-catering accommodation: One twin bedroom with en-suite (shower cubicle, bidet, washbasin and WC). Fitted kitchen. Sitting room with sofa bed, electric fire and dining table.

Heating is from storage heaters throughout. Focal electric fire in sitting room. Electric cooker, microwave, fridge, colour TV/DVD with Freeview, additional video player in bedroom. All fuel, power, bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for one car. Bench seating by front door. Well behaved dogs welcome providing they stay downstairs. Sorry, no smoking!

From the A1 take the A66 westbound at Scotch Corner interchange (just south of Darlington). After approximately 15 miles, turn left at the sign for Bowes follow the signs for Bowes. At the mini roundabout in Bowes, turn into the car park for the Ancient Unicorn. The cottage is situated at the far side of the car park. From the M6 follow the A66 eastbound from Penrith via Brough until reaching the sign for Bowes. At the mini roundabout in Bowes, turn into the car park for the Ancient Unicorn.
