The b & b "Chiarella"

Sabina, the home of the D.O.P. (Protected Denomination of Origin) olive oil is a delightful land of medieval townships, old castles, interesting rock sanctuaries and mystical San Franciscan localities. An enchanted land situated between oak wood forests, gentle hills of olive groves and rolling wheat fields.

In the middle of this natural paradise is a yellow house with a green lawn and a huge oak tree that is in and of itself a testimony to two hundred years of history. It offers two double bedrooms and a smaller bedroom with bunk beds.

The warm hospitality and family style at "Chiarella" will make you appreciate even more the "Sabina" and its natural surroundings.
A welcome snack will be served.

We have scented our bed linen with our own lavender and if necessary we speak English, French and a little Sabino (local English dialect). The lady of the house personally prepares breakfast: freshly picked fruit, special milkshakes, yogurt with whole grain cereals, fresh bread, home-made marmalade, cakes, and local cheese. All of this and more is served in the winter in front of a blazing fire and in the summer on the porch in front of a romantic scene accompanied by the singing of birds. We ask you kindly, but firmly, to not to smoke in the house.

At "Chiarella" we also sell our own products: cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, fresh fruit and vegetables from our biological vegetable garden, special liqueurs, herb flavored or scented oils and vinegars. Biological Jam.

You can play ping pong and crocket on the lawn in front of the house. At about 200 feet there is a riding ground where it is possible to go horseback riding in the woods and within 6 kilometers (3.7 miles) there is a swimming pool and some tennis courts.A, singing birds, bleating sheep and for those who desire to take a sunbath on the lawn or to snooze in the hammock where just by stretching out your hand you can pick a prune, fig or a pear.

We have personally prepared some nature guides for those who are keen on taking walks and historical guides for those who want to appreciate the local medieval towns.
The ancient traditions of the Sabina, tied to religion and agriculture, can be relived in the numerous manifestations and country fairs that occur regularly during the changing seasons. For example in Roccantica Augustthere every 15 is the "Day in the Middle Ages" (Medieval Festival) with historical revocations, parades, tourneys, shows, taverns, artisan shops and a night procession of the Assumption (Holy Mary) in medieval costume.

Rome is only about 40 minutes away. You can use a very comfortable city train, that goes right to the Fiumicino Airport and the superhighway A1 is only about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) from us.
