We spent Christmas in this house. My family, my sister's family, and our mom (10 total). The house is very spacious & felt like home, the bedrooms where perfect for all of us. The yard was wonderful too, the dogs loved it!!! It was decorated nicely for the holiday. We cooked every meal, even a full Christmas dinner, it could use some larger pots and lids,cookie sheet, and baking pans. It was definitely a Christmas we will remember always!! Thank you!

The Cedar Lodge is really a large home in an area known for its rolling hills and gorgeous scenery. My group was very satisfied with the home and the area. The reservationist @ OVR was very helpful. By the way, we stayed this past weekend and your date of stay doesn't allow for this.

The house was just ok. Unfortunately we went on a cold and rainy weekend and were stuck indoors. I may have given more favorable reviews had we been able to go outside. The back yard was nice and even, and I read other reviews about camp fires, etc. outside. However, as it was, the house was pretty cold, so we had to turn the heat up and the furnace made an AWFUL noise all night. I could not sleep (nor could my husband) due to the loud noise. It was rather chilly still downstairs, but the upstairs was very hot. The kitchen was just ok - no dishwasher, which was not that convenient with small children. Plus the microwave was not working. There was absolutely NO cell phone reception at the house, and no land line either, which made me nervous with young kids. The living room was the one saving grace of the house in my opinion. The furniture was comfortable and the tv (with DirecTv) was nice.

I stayed at the Cedar Lodge the weekend of Memorial Day (5-27-11 to 5-30-11). The layout of the property is amazing. There is a lot of land and there are no other houses surrounding it. Our fridge was broken when we got there...I called the realitor and she called the owner and handyman that day. We had a brand new fridge within a couple hours. Excellent service!!! The overall appearance of the house was good, a lot of dead bugs though. An AC unit for the upstairs would have been nice, it was really hot the weekend that we stayed there. Aside from that, we had 12 people in our group and there was more than enough for all of us. We all had a great time and would plan a trip through this company again!!!
