Wilson Cottage has been recently refurbished and is ready to welcome you.

The accommodation offers one double bedroom with kingsize bed complete with memory foam mattress, open plan lounge with fully equipped kitchen and separate shower room. Outside there’s a private garden with uninterrupted views of Dartmoor.

The cosy centrally heated, triple glazed cottage has a fully equipped kitchen and can ideally sleeps 2.

Egyptian cotton linen, towels and tea towels are provided. Please bring beach towels if you want to take advantage of the stunning nearby beaches.

Wilson Cottage comes complete with flatscreen TV with freeview, DVD player, DVD library, selection of games, ipod docking station, electric oven, full size fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, iron, hairdryer and radio clock alarm.

Wilson Cottage feels remote but is easily reached, being just half a mile off the A386 three miles north of Tavistock on the Okehampton Road.

Near the village of Mary Tavy is the most fantastic countryside and walking on the moor to enjoy. Other local activities include horse riding, cycling, fishing, gliding or even just enjoying a pint of local real ale in one of the many cosy country pubs.

The historic market town of Tavistock is just 10 minutes away, where there is a fabulous pannier and farmers' market. Head across the moorland towards Okehampton, or visit the natural waterfalls at Lydford Gorge or Brentor Church, before heading to the north Devon and north Cornwall coastline.

Some other activities to keep you busy include:

• Sample the many local pubs and award winning restaurants.
• Enjoy car free days out with the local bus service into Plymouth or take the local train with stunning views over the Tamar Valley.
• Route 27 Cycle way is nearby along with the Granite Way, Tarka Trail and Drakes Trail which all offer easy cycling along entirely traffic free former railways and paths.
• Explore many of the famous gardens, including Eden, Lost Gardens of Heligan, The Garden House and many famous National Trust Houses

Wilson Cottage was perfect for us.We wanted peace and that is what we got.We loved the extra little touches which showed that a lot of thought was given to peoples needs,for example,that weeks TV Times,leaflets and information about the surrounding area and even the weather forcast for that week.We will be back!

We had a fantastic week at Wilson cottage and would highly recommend the cottage to any couple. We were greeted with a very warm welcome from Lisa and Julian (the owners), and yummy chocolate truffles on our arrival. They have put together a really useful information booklet which caters for all ages and interests and they are also happy to answer anything which helped to make our stay more enjoyable. The cottage itself is lovely and feels very homely. It is perfectly located on the outskirts of dartmoor, with easy access to local the town / pubs, but is situated off a small lane which makes the cottage feel remote with beautiful surroundings. We really didn't want to leave, and would love to come back again!

Cottage was ideal for us – all mod cons but not another house in sight as you look out from the French windows and patio (a lovely view). Wilson Cottage wants for nothing and Julian & Lisa (owners) are very friendly and keen to please without imposing. Only one very minor niggle: the fridge-freezer, situated in the sitting room area, is a bit noisy.

We spent a wonderful week at Wilson Cottage, it's a cosy, clean, tidy and nicely decorated self-catering cottage on the edge of Dartmoor with lovely views of fields out of the back window. It is close to Tavistock with easy access onto the moor. Lisa and Julian were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay, we look forward to visiting again!

A beautiful and cosy cottage, perfectly equipped which served as the ideal base for our excursions across Dartmoor and the Cornish coast. Lisa and Julian made us feel very welcome and were helpful in every way.

Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views over farmland. Julian was very friendly and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Nice welcome with locally produced card and chocolates. Suitable accommodation for wheelchairs. A few little extras would have made it a 5 for facilities: better quality saucepans and chopping knives, a cosy blanket for the sofa and a full length mirror in the bedroom. Sofa is a little uncomfortable as it is also a sofabed. Would definitely recommend. All in all a very relaxing week. Thank you :0)

The cottage was very clean tidy, comfortable and stylish, with all the modern comforts as well as little thoughful added touches. We were made to feel very welcome. The unspoiled views out of the patio windows were fantastic, a great place to chill. We would not hesitate to recommened and plan to return.

A really fantatic place to relax. The location is beautiful and really allowed you to feel the atmosphere of the moors. The cottage feels very private though Julian and Lisa are available should you have queries. Great pubs near by and a very comprehensive list of local ammenities/ places of interest is provided by your hosts. Highly recommended.

Wilson Cottage is delightful. It has been refurbished and equipped to a very high standard and care has been taken to provide every necessity as well as numerous added extras. The location is very peaceful and the private garden has lovely views. Lisa and Julian are welcoming and helpful without being at all intrusive. We hope to become regular visitors!
